Materials Needed
To make your F-20 paper airplane jet, you will need the following materials:
- 1 x A4 paper or download template
- Folding block (optional)
- Ruler or straight edge (optional)
Getting started: Fine-Tune the Folding
You can use a ruler or straight edge to make sure all the edges and lines of your F-20 Tiger Shark are crisp and clean. You can also use a folding block to ensure the creases are true and correct.
Start by taking your sheet of paper and folding it in half vertically. This will create a crease down the middle of the F-20 jet paper airplane.
To start shaping the nose of the F-20 paper airplane jet, open up the page again and fold the two top corners onto the Nr.2 folding line. Next, fold the same edge on the Nr.2 line onto fold line Nr.3. Do the same for both ends. Following the same pattern fold the outer edge of the nose section onto the centre crease following the Nr.3 fold line.
Following the Nr.4 folding line fold the outer edge of the plane inward onto the centre crease to form the wing section of the F-20 jet. Do this for both sides.
Pick up the F-20 plane and fold it inward on the centre crease line, with the folded crease line at the top. Now lay the plane flat with the nose facing to the left. Open the plane revealing the centre body section with all the fold lines. Find fold line Nr.5 and give it a hard crease in both directions.
With the nose still facing to the left and the wing flap facing to the top, fold it down on the outer Nr.5 fold line. Do this for the other side as well making sure the wings match up. This will form the main wing section for the F-20 paper airplane jet.
To form the nose section pick up the plane pinching it on the nose section where the front wing edges and the body come together. Slightly push the front of the nose up while pushing down on the back mid-section of the body to create a reverse fold on the inner Nr.5 fold line.
To fold the tail section, open the F-20 paper jet on its side revealing the centre body section with all the fold lines. Find fold line Nr.8 and give it a hard crease in both directions. Now close the plane again and do a reverse fold on the Nr.8 crease line you just made to form the tail and rudder section of the F-20 paper airplane.
Following the bottom back section of the body/tail fold the wing upward with a hard crease. Do the same for the other side and make sure both wings match up.
Grab the plane at the intersection below the cockpit and shape your F-20 paper jet plane and wings to your desire.
